As you can see, the school is situated in a stunning location, on the very edge of the Cotswold escarpement. The steep hill rising behind the school is topped by the remains of a Roman Fort. Stretching out from the base of Horton Hill is the Severn Valley. The children regularly take advantage of their countryside setting with their weekly walking club excursions. The flora and fauna is diverse, and it is not unusual to see buzzards, green woodpeckers, pheasants, ravens, sparrow hawks and kestrels in the fields around, and often flying over the school.
